Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical stair remodel take?
This is our most commonly asked question! Typically a stair project runs about 3-5 days. Note that every stair project is custom-tailored to you. While the installation timeline depends on several factors—such as the number of steps, material availability, style choices, and any necessary demolition or repairs—our team will provide a detailed, project-specific schedule once we review the scope of work.
What are the steps? How do you approach each project?
We begin with a Project review to discuss your vision, goals, and inspect your space. Next we map out the installation details, prep needs, and material choices. Our expert team then handles the installation, focusing on layout, fitment, and finish. Finally we do our final walkthrough together to review your finished project and ensure you love the results.
What are the best materials for my home?
We recommend hardwoods like Red Oak and White Oak. These are generally considered the Gold-standard for several distinct and practical reasons. They are durable, easy to sand, highly receptive to stain, and widely available.
What do I need to do to prepare my home before work begins?
When it comes to preparing the area, we prefer the better safe than sorry approach. This means we ask that you remove any paintings, mirrors, and pictures from your stairwell walls. Move any furniture, tables, rugs, or anything that may be damaged.
Do you offer free estimates?
We absolutely do offer free estimates! When requesting a quote or estimate on our website or by email, include a few details that will make it easier for us to assess your project. For example-the number of steps, any carpet removal, the style you like or if you have any pictures of what you may like done for your project, include as much information as you can so we can give you our best estimate.
